Brian’s Backyard Safari (South Charlotte)

Sessions TBD

Cost: $60

Located in South Charlotte within the city limits is Brian Osborne’s home which they have transformed into a wildlife safari photography opportunity. His many backyard wildlife photos have been posted on The Photo Classroom’s Facebook and Instagram pages with animals ranging from deer, rabbits, songbirds (over 20 types), hummingbirds, hawks, lizards and much more. We are now opening up the opportunity to come for a morning session or evening, sit perched in a chair on the back deck (socially-distanced) and have Brian guide you to what animals might be present as well as how to get great images of them. The birdfeeders, flowers, etc. have all been positioned for optimal lighting as well as great backgrounds when the animals are around.

Each session will be for 2 hours in the morning or in the early evening times. Anything is possible but the morning times often provide great songbird images (cardinals, bluebirds, woodpeckers, finches, etc.) as well as hummingbirds. The evening session has many of these choices but also has a greater likelihood of seeing deer, rabbits, etc.). Many of the animals have been named by Brian’s daughter. Robert and Richard are the two resident, Anole lizards. Winston is the leader of the rabbits and so on. There will only be two photographer spots per session as we try this out.
